Maria Maria Restaurant
This floor has seen some history! It is a 100+ year old slab near 5th street on Colorado in downtown Austin, TX. Most recently used as "Ringers Sports Bar", the building had also been an auto repair shop, numerous other bars and restaurants among other things.
The restaurant moving in had specified diamond polished concrete for the floor, but due to the age of the floor and the various types of floor coverings that had been put down, we were unsure if it would be a good candidate for diamond polished floors.
The end result FAR exceeded everyone's expectations and showed all of us that even old slabs can be brought back to life to reveal the natural beauty and history within the existing concrete slab.
